Very pale yellow-green. Classic Chablis nose: oyster shell, citrus rind and pith, (tangerine and a little hauntingly musky Buddha’s hand), wet stones. In the background there are subtle notes of rose, turkish delight. The palate is crisp and fresh, tangy and mineral with a lick of salinity. There is restraint and intensity. The finish is long, persistent and acid driven - exactly what you expect from Chablis. The old vines add interest and depth without fleshiness. Vastly superior to most Villages Chablis and better than many 1er Crus I have tasted.

John Gilman "View from the Cellar"

The 2019 Petit Chablis “Vieilles Vignes” from Domaine Dampt Frères is produced from vines that range from fifty to seventy-five years of age. The wine offers up a pretty and youthful nose of tart orange, fresh pineapple, chalky soil tones, straw and a topnote of citrus peel. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and zesty, with an excellent core from the old vines, good mineral drive and grip and a long, focused and complex finish. This is a very good example of Petit Chablis! (Drink between 2021-2035)
