Matured in one-year-old barrels and one of the last to finish its malolactic, the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru has a satisfying, floral bouquet, wilted rose petals infusing the red cherry and wild strawberry fruit and hints of sous-bois emerging with time. The medium-bodied palate delivers supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Very harmonious, with fine depth toward the finish. Excellent.
