Burghound: An airy and markedly floral nose also reveals spicy notes of both red and dark currant, spice and plenty of earth character. There is first-rate richness to the suave yet mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that somehow manage to retain fine delineation while coating the palate with dry extract on the powerful yet elegant and impeccably well-balanced finish. This is a muscular but refined wine that should improve in years to come. (Drink starting 2029). 92-94 Points

James Suckling Tasting Report

So floral, like a bouquet of flowers. Fills the glass. Full-bodied, yet beautifully balanced and subtle. Such purity of fruit and polish. I can't wait on this. Drink or hold. Will age beautifully.

Wine Enthusiast - Roger Voss

This vineyard is widely regarded for its quality worthy of grand cru status, and this wine, from vines owned by Louis Jadot, is a fine example. It is both structured and richly fruity—dense with ripe red fruit flavors cut with acidity. A dry core of tannins will allow this impressive wine to age. Drink from 2024.

Bright medium red. Exciting tangy lift to the aromas of raspberry, rose petal, red licorice, crushed stone and saline minerality, with a peppery accent adding even more verve. Then plush, wonderfully smooth and refined on the palate, showing superb mineral pungency to the raspberry and smoke flavors. This outstanding Clos Saint-Jacques combines great thickness of texture with terrific inner-mouth energy and perfume. The subtle, rising, very long finish shows a total absence of rough edges. Should make a spectacular example of this great premier cru.
