Gary Walsh - Winefront
Grown on a single vineyard, 450m above sea level, with a south-westerly aspect grown in pebble-rich soils with good drainage. Nashi pear, melon rind, slight spice and nutty sake-like character. It’s umami, nutty, but pure and delicate in fruit, a faint herbal seasoning and honeyed flavour and sheen to texture, fine powdery texture, and a long finish, again a hint of bitter rind. Beautiful. Distinctive.
