Burghound
Decidedly ripe yet still quite fresh aromas are comprised by notes of red cherry liqueur and earth. The medium weight flavors are exceptionally rich compared to what is typical for wines at this level while possessing a caressing mouthfeel that contrasts only slightly with the mildly rustic and firm finish. This is an excellent Bourgogne and one that should even reward a few years of cellaring. (Drink starting 2022)

Medium red. A complex nose with red-back fruit and earthy spice. Expansive and attractive. Quite plush on the palate with ripe fruit, dark chocolate, graphite and liquorice. There is considerable weight and texture (old vines?) in the mouth and a long smooth finish with ample tannin to suggest a few years in the cellar would be rewarded. Really very serious for Bourgogne.

The 2018 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, which comes from vines within Nuits Saint-Georges, has a glorious bouquet for a generic red Burgundy, featuring brambly red fruit; maraschino cherries develop with time. The palate is medium-bodied, the 10% new oak lending a little weight on the midpalate, and there is fine definition and length on the finish. This comes highly recommended.
