The Marchand-Grillots were loquacious about the difference between Au Velle and En Songe. This vineyard sits just above the other but is picked a week later than En Songe because it is cooler and damper on red clay. There is a fault line in between the two. This is tighter in structure with a brisk red fruit, some firm tannins. I would separate them more by style than absolute quality.
