Burghound
Once again there is sufficient wood influence to merit pointing out on the aromas of green fruit, petrol, dried peach and shellfish nuances. The delicious and powerful yet relatively sleek big-bodied flavors flash plenty of muscle if not much refinement on the markedly saline, bone-dry and lingering finish. This robust effort will also need at least some patience as it's presently markedly compact.
Bill Nanson "The Burgundy Report"
Here the oak is significantly more discreet. The nose a little narrow but impressively deep and mineral. Zip, energy - fine drive to this wine. Long, long finishing, modestly saline. Simply excellent.
