Darren Harris
Bright, deep garnet with some purple hues. The palate displays cherry, violets, cherry stone, minerally earth and a whisp of new oak. In the mouth the wine starts juicy with optimally ripe fruit then morphs into something more stony and serious. The cherries become crisp and crunchy before the wine finishes with a pleasing amount of tannin adding length. The wine reminds of me of Volnay with a little more structure - it is easy to see why this was once a red wine only vineyard.
