Rich purple, with good density. A little bit of cheerful new oak but does not interfere with the plump fruit. This really opens out on the palate with a really impressive mid-palate density, black cherries again, plenty of oak but does not dry out. A little bit of a fresh minerality behind. Tasted: November 2018.
