Inky black purple. A more restrained nose, but soon the quintessential richness of the year starts to push out. Quite a mix here. There is plenty of fruit for sure, a certain amount of oak, a not entirely integrated acidity. Should come together more later. Very spicy finish. Tasted: December 2021

Narrow at the top, broadening at the base of the aroma - almost a little sweet gooseberry fruit in the mix. Supple, more generous, full of mouth-watering balance. The CdlR is more direct and structural, this a wine to sink into.
