Just on the darker side of imperial purple. The bouquet is as rich as for the Charmes-Chambertin but slightly less effusive, a little stricter in class. Magical intensity a thread of fresh red fruit cutting through the middle, this needs putting away for 8 to 10 year minimum but has the potential to be an outstanding wine. Tasted: December 2021
