Jancis Robinson:

Planted in 1935 on stony soils under a quarry. Destemmed, pre-ferment cold maceration, 25% new oak.
Deep cherry red. Pure dark and dark-red fruit, light notes of pepper and spice and a lovely stony/chalky quality. More obvious acidity than on the Bousselots, so the tannins are also highlighted, but they are fine-grained and in tandem with the fruit. Long, textured finish. Needs quite a bit of time. (Drink between 2029-2039). 17/20

Rich purple, an even colour throughout the glass. Robust red fruit. There is a fine depth of flavour and some class here, plump in the middle, juicy and long, filling the mouth again, while keeping a mineral fresh feel too.

A much finer and more polished creation which is a clear step up on the village wine, following the same, pure model and I like it enormously.

Vinous Media - Neal MArtin

The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Perrières 1er Cru has a perfumed, Vosne-like nose that reveals traces of violet with aeration. The palate is taut and crisp, offering mainly black fruit, with a spiciness that elevates it just above the Les Vaucrains. This is promising. (Drink between 2022-2038)
