Another very pale colour, lightly floral on the nose. Good energy here, light mixed citrus notes, racy and with generosity behind, nice thread of acidity. Light on its feet yet with substance. Slight note of orange zest in the mix too.

Not a lot of domaine villages here so this an assembly with multiple contracts too. ‘Normally three parcels with a hint of 1er from the Meursault side. Mainly Sous la Velle, Levrons and Rue Rousseau

The 2020 Puligny villages bottling was the one wine that I thought was still a bit unsettled from its early November fining and not showing to full advantage. It offers up scents of apple, white peach, chalky soil tones, white flowers and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, reserved and shows good depth at the core, with bright acids and good length, but it was a bit out of sorts and not showing the focus that I am sure will arrive once it settles back into its own with a bit more time in tank. I am sure it will be quite good. 2022-2045+.
