Moderately firm reduction masks everything except the subtle spice nuances. The equally succulent but much more sophisticated middle weight flavors possess notably more refined tannins that support the lingering, complex and lightly stony finale. I really like the fruit-acid-tannin balance, and this should age gracefully over the next decade. (Drink starting 2030)

Two thirds Petits Monts and one third Chaumes. 100% whole bunch vinification. Solid dense rich purple. There is power on the nose, but this is very backward. Not too ripe, pleasingly perfumed with a little wood behind. Not quite together, and with a slightly dry finish. Does the blend mask the nobility of Petits Monts a little?
