From Les Chaillots (two-thirds) and Aux Lavières, 30% whole bunch and 50% new wood. Plump crimson purple with the start of some strawberry aromatics. The blend works better than the vineyards separately. Ripe cherry with the strawberry, and excellent weight at the back of the palate, leading to a very fine finish. Tasted: November 2019.

The 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges Village was showing especially well, wafting from the glass with notes of wild berries, cassis, peonies, orange rind, spices and sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, it's lively and fragrant, built around velvety tannins and succulent acids. From lieux-dits Chaillots and Lavières that yielded 35 hectoliters per hectare, Felettig's Nuits is particularly elegant this year.
