From purchased grapes, with 30% whole bunch vinification. Rich full purple, ripe plump fruit with a little oak. The fruit stretches out very well, with welcome hillside freshness. Very good length.

From a cool vineyard above the Clos de Tart comes the 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis En La Rue de Vergy. This wine saw less whole cluster (20%) than the Chambolle-Musigny Clos du Village (30%), yet its bouquet of dark berries, spices, orange rind and peonies is seemingly more marked by its influence. Medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent, it's fleshy and saline. Felettig tells me that this is the highest in acidity and lowest in alcohol of all his reds this year.
