My first 2020! It may only be Bourgogne but there is a lot to be discovered.
Bright red. Nose of red cherry, zingy raspberry and is there a little whole bunch? Serious! The fruit is juicy and deeply flavoured, the framework of acid and tannin are spot on. The intensity suggests not just low cropping levels but old vines. The wine tastes for all intents like a Volnay. How high up the scale? You’ll need to try for yourself.
All I can say is, boy, there is a lot of pleasure here for little money.
