From Les Languettes. Glowing fresh yellow, with plenty of energy and a light overlay of oak. There’s a lot going on here. Superbly concentrated without being overly weighty, good acidity, this Corton-Charlemagne is in a fairly bombastic rather than lightly stony style.

This could almost be mistaken for the Chablis Grand Cru. Restrained nose. Pebbly/mineral palate. Lime zest adds complexity to the light peach/green-apple fruit. Stony finish with depth and length. Will age very well. (AWH) (Drink between 2024-2035)

Bichot's Pavillon owns a 1.2-heactre parcel in the Les Languettes sector that averages 40 years in age. This, like all the Pavillon wines, are certified organic. Apple peels and white flowers start the nose, and the palate turns on flavours of fresh pineapple cake and cinnamon. The cury, concentrated palate finishes with buoyant acidic lift. 2023-32.
