Decanter Magazine
From a 1ha parcel in Les Champs Traversins that Bichot owns and farms organically. After a long, slow fermentation the wine ages over two winters in cask (70% new); the result is rich and lovely, with lustrous dark fruit, smoke and spice. On the palate, the wine shows impressive density and the tannins carry this to a lingering finish. Drinking window 2024-2039.

In the Champs Traversin sector. Very pretty red purple colour, with a lighter fruit after the power of Latricières. Sandy soil could be a worry in the hot dry years, but came through well. Good natural acidity, lively pure red fruit, fresher finish and very good length. Not too ripe at all.
Wine Spectator
Black cherry and blackberry are framed by vanilla and toasty oak in this flamboyant red, which is supple and juicy, with a lingering aftertaste of violet and berry notes, as well as chalky tannins. A profile of unrestrained energy. Best from 2025 through 2045.
