100% Grenache. 60 years old vines grown on clay rich soil. Elevage 12 months: 50% in barrel, 50% in vat. Dark red colour with garmet undertones. Powerful nose showing good ripeness and exhibiting wild Mediterranean herbs and red fruits.  Good attack on the palate, the ripe and silky tannins enhance the intensity of the fruit.

Nice colour. Not too dark or extracted. Almost Burgundian in colour. Boy, that’s made with a fine hand. It is not thick - infact there’s an elegance that belies its origin. It is amazing what you can do with very old vines. The wine is focused, tangy and fresh. Not earthy or overripe. There’s blackberry, cassis, blueberry and raspberry - the whole gamut of small berries with the minerally tang as well as some savoury, peppery spice. There is also great tannin in support. It is there and it is ripe and fine. This is not Chateauneuf-du-Pape - it is too racy. It is skillfully made, not contrived, with a deep, sophisticated flavour. Imagine a Burgundy made from Grenache and you are on the right track.
