Darren Harris
Two-thirds 60 years of age, 1/3 replanted in 1999. The domaine's vines are located on the border of Clos St-Jacques. Medium red. Aromatic nose of red-black fruits with a mineral tang and a touch of iron filings. Very racy, a fine line of acid running through the mineral palate. The fruit is ripe and gently sweet and fills the mouth. Finish is tight with fine tannins, precision and excellent length.
Gilbert & Gaillard
Light red. Racy nose with ripe red berry fruits and a subtle touch of cacao. The palate is soft yet retains lovely volume and aromas brimming with freshness. The same candies, almost toasted tone recurs on the finish. Lovely.
Wine Enthusiast - Roger Voss
This mature wine comes from one of the finest premier cru vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin. While light in color, it has richness along with red-berry acidity. The tannins have softened to broaden this ripe wine that is ready to drink.
