Not surprisingly the Clos des Chenes 2019 is the deepest and darkest of the wines. The step up in power and weight shows on the nose with blacker fruits - plums, blackcurrants, liquorice, dark chocolate and a savoury note. The fruit is beautifully ripe with depth and power and there’s more tannin on the finish. It is a rich and powerful wine that like all Clos des Chenes cries out for some time in the cellar. Patience please!
