Burghound
(from 30+ year old vines, most of which are situated by Charmes). Mild reduction is enough to push the underlying fruit to the background at present. There is fine intensity to the precise, refined and lacy flavors that exude a fine bead of minerality on the punchy and lingering finish. This too should drink well early if desired. (88-91)/2020+
Bill Nanson "The Burgundy Report"
The biggest cuvée of the domaine - 2 hectares of vines, made up from 7 different lieu dits mainly in the bottom of Chambolle.
Super colour. Fresh wide, intensely, slowly, adding fine but faint floral notes. Really nice volume, a little structure but very nice fruit indeed. Super depth and with a lovely burst of floral-inflected finishing flavour - this just keeps getting better in the glass.

Deep colour, very rich nose with a plum and herb character. This reminds me, weirdly enough, of freshly fermented Shiraz from McLaren Vale! It really is a warm style. There’s a lot of rich charm here - but I’m not sure you would pick it as Chambolle. (RH)
