Darren Harris
Located south of the village near Les St Georges. Dark red. Broader, wilder aromatics than the previous wines. The nose suggests liquorice mixed with some dark fruit sensations. The soil is gravelly and this adds depth and power. The tannins are quite defined but are fine and well coated by the fresh, vibrant 2016 fruit. Like all good 2016’s there is plenty to make the wine very drinkable now but this cuvee really demands some time in the cellar.

Among the southern vineyards of appellation, this premier cru makes wines with plenty of rich, juicy fruits. With the wood aging now well in balance, the red fruits tamed and the structure in a supporting role, the wine is full and on its way to maturity. Drink from 2022.
