Darren Harris
From barrel: Purple-red. Lifted, spicy nose with floral aromatics that remind you that the grapes for this wine are from Vosne-Romanee and Nuits-St-Georges. Juicy fruit and with spicy notes and good structure. A great everyday wines and a super successor to the 2015.
From bottle, January 2019: Vibrant garnet. A lifted nose of raspberry, five spice and crushed stone with a complexing back note of flowers and woody earth. The palate exhibits excellent depth with more spicy red fruits and the juiciness of 2016 backed by refreshing acidity. It is very Vosne-like in shape. There is some refined tannin on the finish which only adds to the drinking pleasure.
