Bright red. Nose of black fruits, graphite, smoke and earth. The palate exhibits the same characteristics with a creamy texture from perfectly ripe grapes. The classic Gevrey mineral and earth ascend towards the finish where very refined tannins add length to the mouthfilling flavours. The overall impression is one of silky finesse and balance. The extra time in Camus’ cellar sees this wine close to the start of its drinking window although another decade in the cellar would certainly not go unrewarded.
