Very pretty mid pink purple colour with a gorgeous nose, just the right style of ripe fruit with also some floral touches. This is very promising. I like this Morey in the mouth too, with very clean tannins and a nice touch of oak. This is another example of a cooler site enjoying the 2018 weather conditions.

The 2018 Morey Saint-Denis En la Rue Vergy has a well-defined, slightly earthy bouquet, the whole-bunch fruit imparting distinct peppery notes, but it becomes leafier with aeration. The harmonious palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity and seamlessly integrated oak toward the finish. This should evolve into an exquisite En la Rue Vergy. (Drink between 2022-2032).
