This vineyard lies on the Vosne-Romanee border. The name translates as little ladies, which some think may refer to female druids who had this vineyard high on the slope. It adjoins Vosne-Romanee Les Damaudes which is above Les Malconsorts.
The soil here consists of a fine layer of gravel with the gorgeous pink marble of Premeaux just below.
This is a nice part of Burgundy and it is not surprising that the wines always speak more of Vosne-Romanee than Nuits-St-Georges.
