Very aromatic nose of wild strawberry, crushed cranberry, rose petal, violet and marzipan. Fine but full in the mouth with a creamy texture (old vines?). The impression is of intensity with a zippiness. The soil here is light and that translates into the wine keeping it fresh and driven. For all its refinement this wine, like most Beaune, will age very well as it has the requisite balance.
