Burghound
There is still a bit of residual post-bottling sulfur present that pushes the citrusy white-fleshed fruit aromas to the background. Otherwise there is excellent intensity to the slightly more voluminous flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the clean, dry and sneaky long finish. Note that this could easily be enjoyed young or cellared for a few years in the hopes that more depth will gradually develop. Drink 2024+
VertdeVin
The nose is racy and offers elegance, a fine power as well as a fine grain. This wine needs to be put in carafe. It reveals notes of blackberry, crunchy plum and small notes of racy minerality/graphite associated with touches of crushed raspberry, violet, rose, a subtle hint of black cherry, liquorice as well as very discreet hints of nutmeg, cardamom and tobacco. The palate is fruity, juicy and offers gourmandize, suavity as well as a beautiful definition. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of black cherry, juicy/fresh redcurrant and small notes of crunchy raspberry associated with small touches of violet, lily, lilac as well as subtle hints of zan, rose wood and tonka bean. Tannins are elegant and structuring. Good length. A very discreet hint of rose on the persistence.
Wine Enthusiast - Anne Krebiehl MW
This wine opens with notes of ripe, red cherry that have the slightest tinge of toast and vanilla. On the palate the red cherry has insistent, energetic freshness that underlines the ripeness of its plush tannins even more. Slightly richer notions of chocolate and a slight edge of vanilla frame that fruit. The firm structure promises evolution. It's lovely now; drink by 2035.
